Day 295 (26th June) – Kasane

5 07 2011

After the highs of the Okavango Delta almost a full day on the truck sucked; the 600km we had to cover today rattled by fairly slowly. The hypnotic desert scapes of Namibia had made way for a less interesting bush scrubland inBotswana. To compound matters the Botswanans insist on grazing their livestock on the side of the road, making for some slower driving.

Fortunately we passed through Makgadikgadi and some of Chobe National Park which gave us an opportunity to look out for more interesting wildlife. This also made for an interesting run in the evening, keeping a look out for wandering elephants.
