Day 185 & 186 – (7th & 8th Mar) Cairns

23 03 2011

Only in Australia can two grown men spend the best part of a day in a bush together

I have never driven in a country where motorists adhere to the speed limit so vigilantly as in Australia. Where drink driving rules are flaunted, speed limits are obeyed almost religiously. This can be attributed to the underhand tactics employed by the police; such as, hiding in bushes with speed cameras, setting up cameras at the bottom of a hill on a straight road, being able to record your speed from a police car travelling in the opposite direction or in truly remote areas tracking your speed from an overhead plane.

Our last day on the East coast was a washout and was spent at the shopping mall and watching a midday movie at the cinema, Hall Pass.
