Day 39 & 40 (12th/13th Oct) – Pantanal

16 10 2010

We had 7:30am starts for both remaining days and spent them in different areas of the Pantanal, either walking or on horse back. We saw more of the same and some different wildlife, including a Rattle Snake, but no Anaconda and not a sniff of a Jaguar, which would have been a bonus to a fantastic safari.

Ellie and I want to know what the top animal is? Really enjoying the blog, keep up the good work! Freezing cold and wintry here, not a sniff of a Jaguar either.

You might wonder what that animal is called, but I wonder what it tastes like 😉

It, according to Jonny Indiana is called a Capybara and was very tame as it didn’t run from us; probably due to it’s little contact with hungry humans.
